Diffy`s Family Restaurant in Shippensburg

The seafood platter was tiny. The roast beef was inedible and the mashed potatoes had a weird flavor. How do you mess up mashed potatoes? Never got my side salad. Then we got to wait while there was an argument about who was supposed to ring us up. What a joke!

Food was great...service was not. Been there many times but no more. One waitress was not even willing to help customer at a table that wasn't hers because it was "her" table when they needed extra napkins for a sloppy sandwich. They'd already asked their own waitress for them but she went to wait on new people who came in....after she'd been asked to get them! Watched one girl pick up plates from the kitchen window after vacuuming...never washed hands and another play with her headband in her hair and then pick up a pot of coffee and pour it!!!!! Disgusting and will never return....when the cat's away the mice definitely play!

Good traditional Pa diner. Service good, prices right and servings large as per usual.

If you are in the Shippensburg area, you have to stop here! Great food and very pleasant owners. Try the raspberry shake.

It's a family owned diner/hamburger joint. Lots of historical pictures to look at which are interesting. Grand kids had hamburger and a grilled cheese. They ate them up! I had a cheeseburger with pickles, onion ketchup, and mustard. The bun was so soft and fresh. French fries were perfect.

Took my mom there for her birthday. Took us 30 minutes to get our meals. My wife's coffee was tepid st the best both cups. Also had to ask for s second cup. Food was good and the price was reasonable. Did not appreciate listening to " Higheay From Hell" and other rock music as we dined. Definitely won't be back.

It's such a wonderful family atmosphere to enjoy eating at. The owner/manager is a very nice man and really cares about his patrons! The only thing that needs improved is customer service from some of the waitresses. Other than that 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Extremely friendly staff, had a wonderful conversation with the owners. A good selection of foods to choose from, which worked out great for my party. Everyone was very happy with the quality of the food.

Fried Chicken is excellent...get all white meat -- 2 nice breasts, 2wings

This Restaurant has been around for a long time...I understand that they used to bring your food up to your car.. a lot of locals eat there.....now it is a fairly large restaurant that is in need of new carpeting and some modernization. We sat at a booth,ordered our food and saw where there were flies crawling over the table. We moved to a table where we ate our hot beef sandwiches with gravy and French fries. The food was better than average compared to other restaurants that are similar.Our server was attentive. Prices are not bad. Would have given a 4 star if no flies and carpet,even though old, was clean. Doubt if we would go back.

Food and service is good. I like coming here. It's incredible that in Feb 2020, they still don't have wifi here. It does allow you to spend more time with your family though.

Decent food, waitress blamed the customers she got (including our table) for forgetting to get us extra silverware, among other things. Business is only as good as the people who serve for it. Education on customer service would be beneficial. Food was filling, and waitress was still attentive.

We had the good fortune to eat at Diffys tonight. The owners were working the floor and after some small talk and a couple recommendations we got our food quickly. Between the 6 of us we bad a wide range of food, but everything ordered was excellent, Portions were just the right size to leave everyone full and the price was shockingly low for what we got.We were only traveling through, but if I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely stop in again. To anyone else who has the good fortune, stop in and give them a try. You won't regret it.

Is this restaurant still open? I am not sure. Friends of mine told me it isnt but the last time I went the food was okay. I honestly think I got jalapeno peppers which I could tell were frozen and a strawberry milkshake that tasted like a powder mix. We are a product of our industry which makes it cheaper for restaurants to buy ingredients that dont spoil. The service was good. The restaurant was not very busy so service was attentive.

What a great restaurant and awesome staff! You can tell the owners take pride in their establishment. Food was spot on again. They never disappoint. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys quality food.

The wait staff is friendly and go above and beyond to get you anything you need. The recipe has changed for the broasted chicken dinners. The flavor is not what it used to be.
